Using Troubleshooting Utilities

Sometimes we need functions that can resolve the hostname, IP address, ping or telnet a device from the Sectona Platform server. This is helpful to check the connectivity of the target device, resolving the respective host, or the IP address.

Where to find the troubleshooting utility? Login to Sectona and select Platform Configuration from the product navigator. Under the System section, select System Status. Click on the Tools tab to find the following details:-

Utility name

Expected results

Ping

Displays the ping status to the target device

Telnet

Displays the telnet status to the target device

Resolve Host Name

Resolves the hostname of the target device from IP address

Resolve IP Address

Resolves the IP address of the target device from hostname

JavaScript errors detected
