Distributing Agents via Group Policy
Using remote installation, Sectona Endpoint agent can be distributed and installed in tens or even hundreds of endpoints faster, than anyone can do it manually. It works in complete automatic mode. The major advantage with remote installation is that it drastically reduces support cost.
Remote installation of the agent works in conjunction with Active Directory. This is the sequence of events that happen while doing remote installation:
On Active Directory a group with computers has to be created where we need to install the agent.
For this group a Group Policy Object should be created which will run a script when that computer starts. In the Start-up folder of each of these machines, the .msi file and the script needs to be placed.
When the computer restarts the script found in the Start-up folder will get executed and the agent will get installed.
