There may be times when a EPM administrator might have to connect to an endpoint remotely to troubleshoot. Sectona EPM gives a provision to connect to endpoins either via RDP (if it's a Windows endpoint) or SSH (if it's a Unix endpoint).

Accessing via Assets Page

  • Login to Sectona PAM with your username and password.

  • Switch from PAM to EPM by clicking on :sym1: button and selecting EPM from the drop-down list.

  • Click on the target asset you wish to connect to by selecting it from the corresponding asset type fields.

  • Click on Connect. A drop-down list will appear with the accounts assigned to the asset. Select the account that you wish to connect with.

With the target asset and account selected, you will be directed to the corresponding session.

  • Please note that, if you have assigned only one account, you will be automatically redirected to the respective session.

Accessing via Accounts TabPage

The purpose of accessing target accounts through Sectona WPM is to ensure that you do not have to remember the passwords for the target assets and their corresponding privileged accounts.

  • Login to Sectona PAM with your username and password.

  • Switch from PAM to EPM by clicking on :sym1: button and selecting EPM from the drop-down list.

  • Go to Accounts. Click on the  :Plus_icon: symbol of the target asset and the corresponding target account you wish to connect to.

  • Click on Connect.

  • A drop-down list will appear with the services assigned to the asset. Select a service that you wish to connect with.

With the service selected, you will be directed to the corresponding target session.
