Issue with VAPT point SOCKS 5 Vulnerability

Issue – SOCKS 5 proxy version was detected as vulnerable in Vulnerability Assessment. 

Resolution – The issue is resolved in the PAM application version v4.3.0, by changing the web proxy version from “1” to “2”, which can be changed from the System default configuration on the PAM console In-case of Internal proxies.

In-case of external proxies the same changes should be done in the configuration file of the External proxy component. 

  • Go to the Proxy component folder and open the configuration file mentioned below.

  • Change the SessionProxyWebServerVersion Value from “1” to “2”

Note: This configuration change should be performed on all nodes with external proxy component.
