Checking connectivity of Target devices / servers from Sectona

As a part of its troubleshooting tools, Spectra lets you check your connectivity to the target device. You can either Ping the target device or use the Telnet protocol. You can also resolve the Hostname of a target device, given the IP address and vice versa.


  1. Login to the system and select PC from the product navigator.
  2. Go to System → System Status → Click on Tools tab
  3. To Ping → specify the IP address of target server / device.
  4. To check using Telnet →specify the IP address and Port number of target server / device. 
  5. To Resolve Host Name →specify the IP address of target server / device. 
  6. To Resolve IP Address → specify the Host Name of target server / device.
  7. Click on the Test button. Output will be displayed below in the Result box.
