A license is required to authenticate a user's identity. It ensures an environment's security and assures that the license is only handled by an authorized user. To reach the license section you need to follow certain steps:
- Navigate to "System" on the navigation bar.
Select the license option on the sidebar and the main page of product information will be opened in front of you.
In this chapter we are going to cover the license details which are as follows:
It provides the name of the particular product in use
This specifies the version of the particular product
This specifies the date on which the installation of that product is done
The type of license been used by the user is according to the product specified
The expiry of the product license is mentioned here
Total licensed users
The number of units consumed by a particular licensed product
Adding a license
One can add a license by clicking on the "+ License" button.
A form will appear in front of you which has the system id generated automatically by the system.
You should now specify your license key. The license key code should be the one sent to you by the tech support by mail.
In return the support team will provide you with the code which you need to submit in the aforementioned "form" to have a licensed product assigned to you.
Click on the "Submit" button.
To track the changes in the license, go to System → License. Click on the Action button and select View Trail. Here, you will get the detailed information about when and by whom the license is added or updated.
Once the license is expired, the end users for product type other than Perpetual will not be able to use the Sectona services.
