Handling assets and accounts manually from discovery

All discovered assets and accounts are visible in the discovery view. This includes assets and accounts which have been discovered but not yet onboarded. This chapter guides you in handling assets and accounts manually.

Manual asset on-boarding through discovery

To manually onboard assets, follow the steps below:

Login to system and select PAM from the product navigator.
Navigate to Manage and then to Discovery View by clicking on Discovery in the sidebar.
Click on the Assets tab.
The assets which were discovered in the Asset Discovery process will be displayed in this section. In the Vaulted column, the assets which are not vaulted will have a text displayed as 'No'.
Click on the Onboard button to add the asset manually into the system.A window will pop up for adding the asset to the system. Verify the details and click on Save.

Manual account on-boarding through discovery

To manually onboard accounts, follow the steps below:

Login to system and select PAM from the product navigator.
Navigate to Manage and then to Discovery View by clicking on Discovery in the sidebar.
Click on Accounts.
The accounts which were discovered in the Account Discovery process will be displayed in this section. In the Vaulted column, the accounts which are not vaulted will have a text displayed as 'No'.
Click on the onboard button to add the account manually into the system. A window will pop up for adding the account into the system. Verify the details and click on Save.

Manual AD account dependency onboard through discovery

To manually onboard AD account dependencies, follow the steps below:

Login to system and select PAM from the product navigator.
Navigate to Manage and then to Discovery View by clicking on Discovery in the sidebar.
Click on AD Account Dependencies.
The AD account dependencies which were discovered in the Account Discovery process will be displayed in this section. In the Vaulted column, the accounts which are not vaulted will have a text displayed as 'No'.
Click on the onboard button to add the AD account manually into the system. A window will pop up for adding the account into the system. Verify the details and click on Save.
