Maintenance Mode

Maintenance mode lets SSP Admin enable system-wide backend maintenance and respond to users with an alert message and time limit. When active, all application entry points and proxies like SSHD, RDPD, DBD, and DTPD block access and display a maintenance message.

Configure Maintenance Mode

Navigate to: Platform Configuration → General Configuration → Appearance → Maintenance Mode

Configure the following settings:

  • Enable Maintenance Mode: Turn ON to activate maintenance mode.

  • Maintenance Message: Enter a custom message.

  • Maintenance Validity: Set Start Date & Time and End Date & Time and Save.

Maintenance mode is enabled

User Access

  • Restrict users from login to system via browser or client

  • Redirects users to Maintenance Page

  • Displays configured message

Proxy Access

Restrict access for:

  • SSHD (SSH Direct Proxy)

  • RDPD (RDP Direct)

  • Database Direct Proxies

  • SFTPD (Secure File Transfer Direct Proxy)

Session

  • Active users on Web Access are redirected.

  • New session restricted till maintenance validity

  • Existing sessions remain connected.

  • Ongoing processes/services are not interrupted.

API

  • All APIs including management APIs are restricted.

Bypass maintenance mode

Yes, only user can bypass using:
https://<IP>/login?LoginFlag=ByPassMaintenanceModeCheck

Use this option only in an emergency scenario.

Primary Node Behavior

  • Direct Access → Redirects to Maintenance Mode

  • ByPassNode → Redirects to Login → Maintenance Mode

  • ByPassMaintenance → Redirects to Login

Restart services

No, Maintenance Mode works without service restart.

Running processes

  • All processes running through Process server continue without interruption.

  • Background services remain unaffected.

DR and Fallback

During Maintenance Mode, DR (Disaster Recovery) and fallback mechanisms continue to function to ensure critical processes are not disrupted.

  • Direct Access → Redirects to 902

  • ByPassNode → Redirects to Login

  • ByPassMaintenance → Redirects to 902
