This policy defines the End-of-Life (EOL), End-of-Development (EOD), and End-of-Support (EOS) lifecycle for Sectona Security Platform software releases. The objective is to provide clear guidance regarding software version support, maintenance, security fixes, upgrades, and migration to supported releases. Sectona recommends upgrade to the latest supported release to benefit from new functionality, security enhancements, bug fixes, and platform improvements.

-
1: Extended support beyond the standard End of Support date is contingent upon payment of applicable fees.
-
2: Grace period may apply.
Last day of month is considered as actual end date for EOD, EOS and EOL.
End of Development (EOD)
End of Development (EOD) is the date after which Sectona no longer actively develops fixes or patches for a particular product version.
After EOD:
-
Sectona will not provide new code fixes for that version, and customers should upgrade to a supported release to obtain ongoing security, stability, and compatibility improvements.
End of Support (EOS)
End of Support (EOS) is the date after which Sectona no longer provides standard technical support for a particular product version.
After EOS:
-
Product-specific troubleshooting may be limited.
-
New support incidents for the version may no longer be accepted.
-
New fixes or patches will not be developed for the unsupported version.
-
Customers are expected to upgrade to a supported release.
-
Security and compatibility risks may increase if the unsupported version remains in production.
End of Life (EOL)
End of Life (EOL) is the date on which a specific Sectona Security Platform release is officially discontinued from the product lifecycle. Following the EOL date, the release is no longer considered a supported production version, and standard maintenance, security updates, bug fixes, and technical support may no longer be provided. Customers are required to plan and perform an upgrade to a currently supported Sectona Security Platform release to maintain security, compatibility, operational stability, and vendor supportability.
End of Life Principles
-
Customers should plan upgrades before the End-of-Support date.
-
EOL dates apply to the specified product version and its applicable patches/builds unless otherwise stated.
-
Customers should maintain their Sectona Security Platform on a currently supported release.
-
Continued operation of an EOL version may expose the environment to increased security, compatibility, and operational risks.
-
Support for third-party operating systems, databases, browsers, libraries, and other dependencies may affect the supportability of a Sectona release.
-
Customers should review Sectona release notes and compatibility requirements before performing upgrades. Sectona's upgrade documentation specifically recommends upgrading to the latest release to obtain new features and bug fixes.
-
Sectona may announce discontinuation of a product version via official product documentation, release communications, or customer support channels.
-
Sectona may require customers to upgrade to a supported release when resolution of an issue requires functionality, architecture, or dependencies available only in a newer release.
