Introduction

This document provides an overview of the new features, enhancements, and resolved issues introduced in Sectona PAM-Cloud V6.0.0. It summarizes key improvements across product functionality, analytics, authentication, privileged access management, security, and operational efficiency.

What’s New?

Hardware Security Module (HSM) and Cloud Key Integration

Added support for Hardware Security Module (HSM) integration for both physical and cloud-based HSM deployments, along with Cloud Key support, to enhance the protection of the Sectona Vault encryption key.

Supported HSM platforms include:

  • Utimaco

  • Thales

  • AWS Cloud HSM

  • Azure Cloud HSM

This capability provides enhanced protection for cryptographic keys and strengthens the security of sensitive PAM data stored in the Sectona Vault.

Date Range Filters for Analytics Reports

Added From Date and To Date filters to Analytics reports, enabling users to filter and export report data for a specific date range. The filtering capability is available across multiple report categories, including:

  • User login activity

  • Session activity

  • Password activity

  • Other supported analytics reports

Session Analytics Report

Added the Session Analytics Report under the Analytics section in PAM. The report provides consolidated insights into:

  • Session activity

  • User behavior

  • Access patterns

  • Risk scores

  • Authentication trends

Preconfigured Access Types

Added support for 100+ out-of-the-box access types across various asset types with predefined configuration parameters. This enhancement simplifies access-type configuration and accelerates the onboarding of managed assets.

Account Analytics Report

Added the Account Analytics Report under the Analytics section in PAM. The report provides consolidated visibility into:

  • Account usage

  • Access behavior

  • Authentication trends

  • Security posture across managed assets

User Analytics

Added User Analytics under the Analytics section in Platform Configuration. The capability provides insights into:

  • User behavior

  • Access patterns

  • Authentication activity

  • Session usage

  • Security and risk indicators

Live Session Suspension and Resumption

Added the ability to suspend and resume active privileged sessions from the Live Session View. This capability provides administrators with greater control overactive privileged sessions and enables temporary suspension of session activity when required.

Azure Entra ID Privileged Account Discovery and Onboarding

Added support for the discovery and onboarding of privileged accounts from Microsoft Azure Entra ID. This enhancement improves privileged account visibility and streamlines the onboarding of Entra ID accounts into PAM.

Kerberos-Based NLA and SSO for RDP

Added support for Kerberos-based Network Level Authentication (NLA) and Single Sign-On (SSO) for RDP connections through browser-based RDP access and RDPD. This enhancement improves authentication integration and provides a more seamless and secure RDP access experience.

Linked Directory Store

Introduced Linked Directory Store support for integrating SAML authentication with Active Directory and Microsoft Azure Entra ID.

  • User status validation through linked directories
