Getting Started

This guide is for Sectona Privileged Access Management users who want to access target assets or work with privileged accounts. After reading this guide, you will be able to:

Access target assets
Check-in and check-out account passwords
Raise requests for accessing target assets or passwords
Manage approval requests
Access Satellite Vault

The product functionality described in this guide applies to Sectona Privileged Access Management Standard, Standard Plus, Enterprise, and Enterprise Plus editions.

Action	Purpose
Login to the portal	This section guides you through the Sectona PAM portal login procedure.
Accessing a target asset	This section provides step by step approach for accessing target assets and privileged accounts. It is sub-divided into two sections: Working with assets will guide you through the procedure to gain access to target assets such as Windows Server, Unix Server, etc. Working with accounts will guide you through the procedure to gain access to target accounts such as administrator and root of the corresponding target assets.
Using workflow	This section describes the hierarchy of approval that needs to be followed in case users want to gain access or checkout passwords to target assets that are not already mapped to them. It is sub-divided into two categories: Manage approval highlights step by step approach for authorized users to view and grant permissions for users to access target assets. Raise a request highlights the step by step approach for users to request access or password to target assets that are not already mapped to users.
Executing tasks	The privileged task management module is segregated into the user and administration section. Following are the task that can be performed by end user.
Accessing secrets during break glass	This section describes step by step approach for accessing satellite vault in break glass scenario.
